Open 2013 Preview and launch party

Join us to kick off the annual Spike Island Open with us with this first look into the studios and other behind-the-scenes spaces in the building from 6 till 9pm.
This event is part of the Harbourside Arts Night, kicking off the May Bank Holiday weekend with an evening of new art. Also open this evening:

From 6 to 9pm, Bristol’s Ferryboats run a shuttle service for visitors wishing to travel between the two venues, stopping outside Arnolfini and SS Great Britain (a short walk from Spike Island, Works|Projects and Bristol Diving School). Tickets are £2 single, £3 return.
From 9pm, everyone is invited to Spike Island for a joint afterparty with music, drinks and dancing till late. “Mad maximalist” Bobby Tank headlines with a set of his own unique brand of poppy electrofunk, described by the Guardian as “beats and squeaks, shimmering keyboard twirls and pummelling electronic bass riffs”. Also on hand to keep partygoers afloat with their spinning records are members of the Howling Owl Records gang and Randek.
