2012 JOOP SWART MASTERCLASS
The 19th edition of the annual masterclass brought masters and young photographers together for five days in Amsterdam.
In spring 2012, an international committee surveyed portfolios submitted by over 165 nominated photographers and selected 12 young photographers to participate in the 19th Joop Swart Masterclass. Each of the 12 photographers was asked to prepare a photo essay on the theme Trust for the masterclass, which was held in Amsterdam from 10 until 15 November. During the masterclass, the participants had the chance to discuss their work in detail with five leading industry professionals. The masters gave presentations about their particular fields and led in-depth discussions on other aspects of photojournalism.
The Joop Swart Masterclass is supported by Delta Lloyd Group, CSM and Canon, who provides all participants with a grant.
