Call for Submissions: Street Art Open 2013
June 11th to June 29th 2013
Celebrating Street Art, Outsider Art, Illustration, Paste‐Up, Graphic Art and Printmaking.
The Street Art Open at Surface Gallery will celebrate and support Nottingham’s growing alternative art scene by showcasing some of today’s best local, national and international street art. The exhibition will embody a busy and varied range of disciplines specific to this thriving alternative and influential vein of visual art.
Submissions can be delivered to the gallery on the delivery dates with a completed application form and small entry fee. Application forms can be downloaded via the website or collected directly from the gallery during opening times.
Up to six pieces can be submitted per person and all work will be hung in a Salon style display, packed from the floor to the ceiling. There are no restrictions on age, education or professional status; if your work fits in the gallery and complies with terms and conditions, it will be accepted. All pieces must be submitted by 1pm on Sunday, 9th June.
Private View: 11th June, 6-9 pm
This event will celebrate the opening of the exhibition with live painting and DJs.
Closing Party: 29th June, 6-9 pm
The show will end with a party at which prizewinners will be announced and there will be more live music.

Prizewinners will be selected by a panel of judges featuring mr the beef, Allan Draycott, & Mr Fantasy.
