Broose: Transforming the Traditional

“Transforming the Traditional” – an art exhibition showcasing the work of Bath artist Broose Dickinson opens Friday the 13th of September, 6-8pm, at the 44AD art space in Bath, 7B Lower Borough Walls. On display will be literary versions of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s album cover, and Neil Armstrong’s first photo taken on the moon of Buzz Aldrin.
Broose will also perform an acoustic set of his music, celebrating his recent album “4” which was released earlier this year, and is available on Spotify and Apple iTunes. A collection of Broose’s paintings will also be on display, including his “Skype Portrait” which was a finalist for the prestigious 2012 Holburne Portrait Prize.
Broose is an accomplished artist, singer, and songwriter, originally from Splendora, Texas, and now living in Bath. He was an artist on BBC 2’s TV programme “Show Me the Monet,” winner of VideoMaker Magazine’s “Hottest and Brightest” award, and a finalist for the Bath Prize in painting. Broose’s exhibition “Transforming the Traditional” will be on display Sept 14-15, 12-5pm, at the 44AD art space. Free admission.
