Art at the Heart of the RUH presents a high quality programme of arts within the RUH for the benefit of patients, staff and visitors.

Faces {Bath} Zone C

25th October 2013 – 17th January 2014

A three year project by portrait painters Malcolm Ashman, R. Scott Fraser and Ben Hughes.

Unlike the well-known face of Bath, the Georgian buildings admired the world over, this project explores the faces of the people who give the city life, and who keep it running; who live and work here.

For us, they are the city. Deliberately populist in focus, this project gives the people recognition. The results of the project will be displayed in a series of pop-up exhibitions in and around Bath, the spaces filled with the faces of its people, inviting a new audience into the cultural life of the city.

After a series of shows around Bath we are delighted to welcome back Faces {Bath} for a second exhibition of portraits. The project reaches its climax in 2014 with shows in the Guildhall during the Bath Festival and a final show at Bath Artists’ Studios in September 2014.
