ANTIPODES – FIRST ANNIVERSARY – Layla Curtis
Launched on the March equinox exactly one year ago today, online artwork Antipodes has now captured and archived over 2 million images from paired webcams located on exact opposite sides of the globe.
To mark the first year of the project Patrick Langley has written ‘Local Time’ – a short essay discussing how the internet allows us to experience places long before we ever reach them, and what a year of looking at the planet through a webcam lens might look like.
