Gerardo Dottori: The Futurist View at The Estorick Collection, Canonbury Square, London N1
Gerardo Dottori (1884-1977) was a pivotal figure in Italian Futurism during the inter-war years. His expansive and intensely lyrical visions of the Umbrian landscape, viewed from above, were among the earliest and most striking examples of aeropainting, which explored the dynamic perspectives of flight. This major new survey of his work, brings together some 50 paintings and drawings, including a large number of works which have never been exhibited in the UK before.
The exhibition runs from 9 July until 7 September 2014.
