The Royal Society of Portrait Painters (RP) is seeking submissions
for their Annual Exhibition and for the new £15,000 “Conversations” Prize
The RP seeks submissions of new and traditional artistic models and perspectives in portraiture. The Society, founded in 1891, upholds the values and practices of its long and distinguished history, but at the same time, seeks to explore and develop new artistic models and perspectives in the endlessly fascinating and relevant discipline of portraiture.
Along with the numerous prizes and awards made during the exhibition, we are pleased to announce the new £15,000 “Conversations” Prize, sponsored by Seven Investment Management. A conversation piece allows for a scene of two or more characters interacting, with each other and/or with the viewer. Works fulfilling this brief will be considered for the Prize as well as the Annual Exhibition.
