The Haworth Prize 2015

New £4,000 prize for a northern English landscape or cityscape by a young artist from the North of England.

The NEAC seeks submissions of northern English landscape or cityscape by young artists living in the North of England.

The shortlisted works will be exhibited alongside the New English Art Club Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries.

The Haworth Prize is sponsored by The Haworth Charitable Trust

Who can submit?

Artists aged 35 or under, who are resident in the North of England in the following areas: Cumbria, Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire

What to submit?

Paintings, drawings or prints that depict the landscape or the towns of the North of England.

How to submit

ALL work must be submitted online. Pre-selection from online entries will take place, after which successful artists will be invited to deliver their work to Mall Galleries, London, for final selection:

– Upload images of work at registrationmallgalleries.org.uk between Monday 8 December 2014 and Friday 13 March 2015, 12 noon [Note: Images must be in JPEG format and under 1MB]

Conditions

Artists between the ages of 18 and 35 years of age may submit.

Artists must be resident in the North of England in the following areas: Cumbria, Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire

Acceptable media: Paintings, drawings, pastels, original framed prints (please detail edition). Sculpture is NOT admissible.

Submission fee: £10 per work

Maximum of three works submitted. Maximum of three works selected.

Works should not be larger than 2.4m along the longest dimension.

Minimum price: £300 (£120 for unframed prints).
