we run events for the public including artist talks/tours, workshops, opening events, young persons’ events, and discussions.
shows run on the first weekend of each month.
East Bristol Contemporary presents EBC001, the first of a series of events due for production in 2016.

For this exhibition we have brought together the work of three emerging British artists – Jack Otway, Louise Fitzgerald and Jamie Sorensen. Their work represents some of the diverse and rich practices being developed by artists across the country. In spite of persistent and damaging cuts to the arts sector in the UK, artists remain determined to make strong, engaging work that shapes our cultural ecology. For the majority of emerging artists, the key limitation to their development as professionals is the lack of spaces in which to show their work, try out ideas and receive feedback. EBC hopes to do a small amount to remedy this in Bristol.
