The Marmite Prize for Painting V (2016)


The Marmite Prize for Painting is now open for submission!

The Marmite Prize for Painting is the only erratic, challenging and nomadic biennial open submission painting exhibition in the UK and Ireland and is open to all.

As is the case with most open submission competitions, we have a set of rules and procedures devised to make the selection process fair and just for all applicants. Please read through.

Choose your Painting
We require you to submit one work to The Marmite Prize for Painting. Please compete with your best painting.
You must provide one image of your painting (high resolution j-peg on disk or as email attachment no larger than 3mb).
You may be asked for further images of works at a later date to support your application and aid the shortlisting process.

Pay Entry Fee
There is an entry fee of £15 (€20) or £10 (€14) for students.

This, the fifth Marmite Prize for Painting is dedicated to artist Mary Heilmann.

A marmite is a large earthenware pot.

The Marmite Prize for Painting is in no way associated with the food product ‘Marmite’.
