RWA – Submissions open
Calling all artists! The renowned RWA Annual Open Exhibition – now in its 164th year – returns this October and submissions are now open to all artists.
This dynamic and varied exhibition, which can include painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, illustration, architecture and other media, is a showcase of some of the most exciting artists from across the country.
Any artist can submit work for this mixed discipline show. A selection panel assesses every entry and last year 593 works by 387 artists made it into the final exhibition.
All applicants must apply online using the Online Submission System. Submissions close at 5pm on the 24 August 2016. The exhibition dates are Sunday 9 October – Sunday 27 November 2016.
How much does it cost to submit work?
Submission fees are charged per item:
- £18 per item for General Public
- £16 per item for Students
- £14 per item for Friends of the RWA
- £9 per item for Artist Network members
- Free for Academicians
Do I have to submit images of my work online?
Yes – submitting high resolution, clear images of your work is vitally important to the selection panel. Please read the Terms and Conditions PDF below for further guidance on size and image labeling.
What happens once I have submitted my work?
The closing date for online submission is the 24 August at 5pm. After this date no changes can be made to your application. Therefore please ensure that you have submitted the correct details, attached an image of your work, and paid for your submission.
