BONKERS CONTEMPORARY 2017 is a platform for graduates, emerging and mid-career artists to showcase work in a unique environment with as little restrictions as possible.

HOW TO SUBMIT TO BONKERS CONTEMPORARY 2017

- Register your interest and pay the £5 submission fee.
- We will send you information how to submit your proposal.
- Deadline for submissions: 26th March 2017 at midnight.
- A panel of selectors will consider your proposal.
- You will be notified of the result 1st April 2017.
The exhibition will feature work by approx 15 artists. The venue is large, and we envisage that each selected artist can be allocated a substantial area/space which could accommodate large-scale works or a series of works. Similarly, if your work is smaller in scale, digital projection, or performance we will welcome your proposal. Collaborative partnerships will be also considered.
Bonkers Contemporary asks artists to consider post-truth society and social-political influences. This can be interpreted in any way imaginable.
Applications are welcome from artists whose residency is currently in Scotland and are not in full time or part time education a the time of the exhibition (October 2017)

TERMS AND CONDITION OF ENTRY
Please read the following carefully.
Submissions will be accepted from artists, graduates and those who can show a track record or commitment and dedication to the contemporary arts. We will not accept applications from students in full time or part time education at the time of the exhibition in October 2017. Proposals must be for new artworks.
There is a £5 (inclusive of VAT) administrative fee that must be paid online through PayPal by the stated deadline to complete the application. Applications will not be considered complete until payment has been received. N.B. If an applicant is found to be ineligible, the entry fee will not be refunded. Regrettably, duplicate payments can not be refunded.
There is a £75 fee to selected artists to cover exhibition costs (we are working hard to gain funding – see our ethos for further details.)
N.B. ‘Contemporary Arts’ here refers to the visual arts including but not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, video, audio, sound, performance and installation.
By making an application, the artist confirms that: Work submitted is their own origination, and that they hold all moral and intellectual property rights in that work.
Artists are responsible for appropriate packing, transportation and installation of artwork at their own cost (a team will be on hand to support artists during installation).
All sales of exhibited work, online or during the exhibition will be managed by Bonkers Contemporary at a fee rate of 20% commission on the selling price.
